Special update as of May 5. It has been about a month since I personally implemented almost all of these strategies myself. In that time, I have documented a 20% improvement in gas mileage, and an overall reduction in gasoline consumption of about 35%. This savings has been consistent from the day I started. Aside from simply doing my part to reduce demand for gasoline, I have an immediate savings that goes straight to my bottom line! For the record, I drive a 2002 Jeep Liberty and average about 40-60 miles per day during work days (except when I telecommute).
In short, this strategy for cutting gasoline consumption is working for me. I encourage each of you to take advantage of similar savings.

This may seem like an odd topic to include in a website about affirmations. There's a few reasons I'm including it.
- I'm committed to providing practical information that will help you improve your life. If you cut down your gasoline consumption, you will save money.
- The cost of gasoline reaches to every level of our collective and individual economies. Rising fuel costs will fuel high inflation. And that's something we all want to avoid.
- Our thought habits have a strong influence in how we consume gasoline--or anything else for that matter. And exercising control over our thought habits is really what this site is all about. If we all improve our gasoline consumption habits, there's a very good chance that prices will drop.
So read and enjoy. I'll bet you'll find some ideas here related to reducing your gasoline costs--and many will improve other areas of your life as well...
